Si, puedo: Spanish for beginners
A 10-week course, Wednesdays from 6:30 - 8:00 PM
October 12th - December 14th
By the end of this introductory Spanish course, you will have an appreciation of the Spanish language, a developing understanding of Spanish grammar, and the ability to speak in basic Spanish phrases. Each 90-minute class will include 15 minutes of instruction in English at both the beginning and end, the first for a brief grammar lesson, and the second for Q & A. Classes will be built around a theme – the market, a restaurant, downtown, the beach, a party, sports, the arts, music, etc. - with a focus on conversation and participation in Spanish for 60 minutes. A course text is included. There is an expectation of light “homework” of 30-60 minutes a week. This course is intended for beginners ages 15+, but some students might have previous experience.
